Magic Fountain of Montjuïc in Barcelona
Font m à GICA was built in 1929 to prepare for Barcelona World Expo. It is a good place for leisure and entertainment in the urban area. Designer Carles buigas presented his plan the year before the Expo -The changeable music main fountain is at the foot of monthuiqi mountain. A huge Avenue comes down from the mountain. In the middle of the avenue is layers of waterfalls. The avenue forms a square at the main fountain, and then leads to the central Spanish Square. Two rows of fountains on both sides of the 500 meter long Avenue extend from the main fountain to the Spanish Square. Looking up the mountain from the Spanish Square, the avenue, the main fountain and monthuiqi mountain form a whole, magnificent and spectacular.
The first performance of montju ï C Magic Fountain in Barcelona was held on May 19, 1929 at a large-scale global Expo. Designer Carles buigas presented his plan the year before the Expo, which many thought was too ambitious to achieve, let alone finish on time.
More than 3000 workers worked day and night on the project. Less than a year later, the Magic Fountain finally appeared.
